St. Anthony Gala Raises $355,000 For St. Anthony Regional Hospital

The St. Anthony Gala, hosted by the St. Anthony Foundation this past weekend, raised more than $350,000 for the rural hospital. Saturday marked the second fundraising event in this form for the hospital. The first St. Anthony Gala was held in 2023 at the Carrollton Centre and generated $270,000 for planned renovations at the facility, primarily to the hospital’s emergency department. Last weekend’s program was hosted at the Arcadia American Legion Hall in Arcadia, and raised $355,000, which will be used to purchase a PET CT scanner for the facility. Currently, a mobile unit visits the hospital each week to conduct the in-demand scans, and St. Anthony Regional Hospital will be one of the few rural facilities to have a PET scanner on its campus after it is installed. The emergency department overhaul and scanner purchase are part of a multi-year, $32.6 million construction project that is scheduled to begin in December.
