The Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Carroll Campus Student Activities Council is hosting a Fall Fest this coming weekend, and the public is invited to join in the fun. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, in the DMACC campus parking lot. The program will feature pumpkin painting for the first 100 children, and all ages are welcome. However, games and prizes are geared toward kids in preschool through fourth grade. The council will also have snacks and hot drinks available for free will donations via cash or Venmo. Proceeds from the event will support DMACC’s upcoming lung cancer awareness fundraiser in November. Student Activities Council members Miles Brewer, Kadyn Krutch, and Raul Gonzalez note that this upcoming Fall Fest marks the revival of the student group at the Carroll campus, which had no members for the past two years, and expect more programs like the Fall Fest in the future.
