Aside from the Labor Day Holiday, a sure sign that the summer season is ending is the finale of Lake View’s popular Stone Pier Summer Concert Series. This Sunday starting at 5 p.m., Abby Hamilton will take the stage, celebrating her breakout year in 2024 after she released her acclaimed debut album, “#1 Zookeeper (of the San Diego Zoo)”. Her original Folk songs will set the scene as headliner, Kashus Culpepper finishes out the night with a mix of country, soul, blues, and rock. Culpepper began his singing career in 2020 after playing cover songs in Spain at the barracks while deployed with the Navy and was recently named one of Pandora’s 2025 County Artists To Watch. Aside from the music, a whole line up of food vendors will be there to make sure everyone is fed, especially the Lake View Black Hawk Men’s Club and Lake View Fire Department with the famous burger boat. To add to the excitement, the first 100 kids to attend the merchandise tent on Sunday will receive a free star-shaped highlighter for the final Concert Kids Giveaway in honor of Lauren “Rudy” Goodenow. Again, everyone is welcome to kick off the long weekend and the last weekend of the summer season up on Black Hawk Lake with the free Stone Pier Summer Concert Series finale this Sunday.
