Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) has named Neeka Jacobsen a recipient of its 2026 Outstanding Employee Award. Jacobsen serves as an intake coordinator and counselor at the hospital’s Recovery Center and is also an international alcohol and drug counselor. The annual award recognizes a non-medical employee who consistently performs high-quality work, goes beyond assigned duties, works well with colleagues, and helps create a supportive workplace culture. In a nomination letter, a colleague writes that Jacobsen “goes far above and beyond what this hospital requires of her” and continually seeks ways to better serve the community. Coworkers also note she frequently assists other departments when needed. Jacobsen is also credited for her work with the Hidden in Plain Sight camper, an educational initiative designed to provide addiction prevention resources and support for families, which was funded in part through Carroll County’s allocation of opioid settlement money. Jacobsen will also be honored during the 2026 Legacy Fund Gala on Nov. 6, alongside other award and scholarship recipients.
