Lauren Fuchs of Templeton

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton.

Lauren passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the age of 84.

Lauren Henry Fuchs was born on March 24, 1942, the son of Donald and Alma (Steffes) Fuchs in Templeton, Iowa. He was baptized and later confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Templeton, where he remained a lifelong member. Lauren received his education from Templeton Schools. Following his education, he enlisted into the Iowa Army National Guard and served until his honorable discharge.

On May 8, 1971, Lauren married Beverly Korwes at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. They were blessed with a son, Chad, and made their home in Templeton. He spent many years working as a truck driver and especially enjoyed traveling across the country and seeing the United States.

He had a passion for cooking and enjoyed experimenting with new recipes. Above all, he was proud of his family and especially his grandsons’ accomplishments.

Lauren passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 84 years and 30 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and other family members.

Lauren is survived by his wife of 55 years, Beverly Fuchs of Templeton; son, Chad (Ann) Fuchs of Fremont; grandsons: Dylan (Suzanna) Fuchs of Papillion, Nebraska, Nathaniel Fuchs of Grand Island, Nebraska and Brayden Fuchs of Fremont, Nebraska; sisters: Geneva Brincks of Templeton and Joann (Rich) Kotan of Omaha, Nebraska; and many other family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton. The family will direct memorials.
