Mark Steinbach, born September 2, 1973, in Ute, Iowa.
Mark spent many years working at Smithfield before finding his true passion in trucking. He proudly drove for Windstar Express and loved the open road.
Mark enjoyed golfing, cheering on Nebraska football, and riding his Harley. He was a steak-and-potatoes kind of man—no meal felt complete without meat on the table. He lived life fully in the moment and often reminded those around him that tomorrow is never promised.
He was known for his constant smile and friendly nature. Mark never met a stranger and couldn’t go anywhere without running into someone he knew. Above all, he was incredibly proud of his daughter, Katie, and loved his family deeply. He took great care of his wife, Jadi, and would follow her anywhere her job led, always by her side.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Jadi; his daughter, Katie; his father, Gale Steinbach; and stepfather, John Wendt. He is also survived by his in-laws, Bubs and Randy; siblings, April (Kelly), Jessica (James), Joe, and Josh; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Sara, Brandon, Kelsey, Callie, Josie, and Brantley. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many other loved ones.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Wendt; his daughter, Hope Steinbach; Shannon; and his nephew, Ryan.
He will also be dearly missed by his beloved animals: Mia, Piper, Jax, Johnny, Gracie, Loki, Beaner, and Biscuits.
Mark’s legacy of kindness, laughter, and living life to the fullest will live on in all who knew and loved him.
