The Carroll Fire Department was dispatched to a reported fire at the apartment complex west of Graham Park on Tuesday evening. Crews responded to 909 N. East St. at approximately 6:07 p.m. after a caller reported a significant amount of smoke coming from one of the units. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the cause to have been a kitchen fire. Tenants were evacuated out of an abundance of caution, and teams deployed ventilation fans to clear smoke from the interior. Very little damage was reported, and one person was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The Carroll Police Department, Carroll County Emergency Medical Services, and Carroll County Communications Center assisted in Tuesday evening’s response.
