No injuries were reported last (Wednesday) night following a suspected structure fire at a Carroll home. The Carroll Communications Center received a report at approximately 9:27 p.m. of a home in the 800 block of W. 8th Street filling with smoke. The fire department arrived on the scene with law enforcement and Carroll County Emergency Medical Services a short time later. Firefighters quickly determined the source of the fire was a dryer. The fire was contained to the appliance, and no significant damage was reported to the home.
