2022 Carroll SuperDraft Tourney Scheduled For Today With Goal Of Breaking Last Year’s $10,000 Fundraising Total For St. Anthony Cancer Center Patients

The second annual Carroll SuperDraft Tournament is scheduled for today (Saturday), and organizers invite fans to join in the fun as players raise money to support patients at the St. Anthony Cancer Center. One of the organizers, Katie Decker, says they have a full day of activities planned at the Carroll slow-pitch fields, and everybody is welcome to attend.

One of the main ways the SuperDraft raises money is through player registration fees. However, Decker says their silent auction is also a big draw for many players and fans.

The 2021 SuperDraft raised over $10,000 in its first year, and Decker says she and the other organizers almost couldn’t believe how much support the tournament had gained in such a short time. They hope to beat last year’s figure with all money raised benefiting patients at St. Anthony.

Last year, Decker put her pride on the line, pledging to do cartwheels down the baseline if they broke the $10,000 mark. They’ve set the bar high this year with a goal of $20,000. The Carroll SuperDraft runs from 7:30 a.m. to late tonight (Saturday). Donations can also be submitted using the Venmo and PayPal links included with this story on our website or by contacting any of the organizers: Tad and Katie Decker, Kyle and Katie Cornelius, and Nicole and Colby McCarville.
