No Carroll Supervisor Meeting Monday, June 14, But Two Meetings Planned For Week Of June 21

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will not be holding a meeting next Monday, June 14, but will plan on doubling up on meetings the following week. This will include the regularly scheduled June 21 meeting and then a day of proposal reviews on Tuesday, June 22. This past Monday, the board brought back a discussion on eight different Requests for Proposals (RFPs) they received for a spatial study on ways to optimize the footprint at the courthouse when the Sheriff’s Office and jail are moved into their new space. The discussion also touched on improvements to the HVAC and boiler systems since the boiler was installed during courthouse construction in 1966. Carroll County is expecting to receive approximately $3.9 million from the American Rescue Plan which has several stipulations that could allow for allocation of a portion of those funds. Five engineering companies will be interviewed on June 22 and include: RDG Planning and Design and Studio Melee, both of Des Moines; SEH, Inc. of St. Paul, Minn.; Stone Group Architects of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Shive Hattery, Inc. of West Des Moines.
