Two Non-Injury Accidents Reported In Greene County Monday

Greene County deputies responded to two non-injury accidents on Monday. The first call came in at approximately 1:24 p.m. for a single-vehicle accident on Iowa Highway 4 near 280th Street, south of Jefferson. Thirty-four-year-old Benjamin Campbell of Jefferson was driving a Freightliner dump truck when the front tire blew. This caused the vehicle to cross the center line and enter the west ditch. There was an estimated $20,000 in damage to the truck. A car/deer accident was reported at approximately 10:09 p.m. on U.S. Highway 30 at W Avenue, east of Grand Junction. Thirty-one-year-old Daniel West of Glidden hit a deer with a 2013 Kia Rio, causing an estimated $6,000 in damage.
