Carroll Supervisors To Review Face Covering Mandate And Medicaid Ambulance Reimbursement Monday

Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 funding requests and salaries for non-elected, non-union employees top the list of agenda items for Monday’s Carroll County Board of Supervisor meeting. On Nov. 13, the supervisors enacted a county-wide face covering mandate, but that was later superseded by one enacted on the state level by Gov. Kim Reynolds. On Thursday, the governor extended that mandate through Sunday, Feb. 6. The county’s resolution becomes null and void on Friday, Jan. 15 and the supervisors will be addressing that on Monday as they receive a COVID update. The board will also be looking to take action after questions are answered on a proposal to partner with a Texas-based firm to assist with recovering the lost revenues associated with Medicaid ambulance transports. Monday’s meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the lower-level meeting room at the courthouse and will be livestreamed on the county’s YouTube channel. Those who have questions on agenda items prior to Monday’s meeting can submit them to supervisors@carrollcountyiowa.org. To ask questions during the meeting, viewers must create a YouTube channel and then subscribe to the Carroll County channel. A link to the livestream and a copy of the agenda can be found below.
