If there is one thing that can be said for a career in news, it is definitely never boring. This past year has been particularly challenging for many people, and the Carroll Broadcasting news department has been tasked with keeping our listeners up-to-date and in touch with the experts on many topics that, quite frankly, we hoped we would have been able to stop talking about before the end of 2020. Through a year that saw a worldwide pandemic, a Godzilla cloud, murder hornets, a derecho and snow squalls in October, there have been other stories of selflessness, bravery, innovation and hope delivered. Though it was difficult to select just five, here is News Director, Chantelle Grove, with the stories that stood out–in a good way–in a year of standout news.
