The Iowa Department of Public Health announced the largest one-day increase of positive COVID-19 tests on Sunday with 389, for a new total of 2,902 positive cases. Sixty-seven percent of those are attributed to testing in meat processing facilities. Five hundred Tyson and 500 National Beef employees were tested with 84 positives at Tyson and 177 at National Beef. There was also one additional death in an older Muscatine County adult, between 61 and 80 years old, bringing Iowa’s total to 75 deaths. Testing has been completed on 24,550 individuals and 1,171 people have recovered. In the Carroll Broadcasting listening area, Carroll, Greene and Audubon Counties remain at one reported case. Crawford has six positives and one recorded death and Guthrie County has had four positives. Sac and Calhoun Counties remain at zero on the 67 and 53 tests performed respectively.
