Gov. Kim Reynolds has announced several different appointments to Iowa’s boards and commissions, and this includes one local resident. McKaylee Heuton of Carroll has been appointed to the Iowa Council for Early ACCESS (ICEA). Heuton currently serves as a Family and Educator Partner with the Prairie Lakes Area Education Agency. The ICEA is responsible for advising and assisting the Iowa Department of Education (IDEA) for the planning, coordination and delivery of services to infants and toddlers with special needs and their families. This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Iowa Senate.
