Gov. Kim Reynolds has been appointed to a national advisory council that works to develop and prepare America’s workforce. On Wednesday, U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross, and Presidential Advisor, Ivanka Trump, announced Reynolds will serve on the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board. The board works directly with the National Council for the American Worker to develop and implement strategies to improve our ability to address and overcome 21st century challenges. “Our state has one of the most innovative workforce efforts in the country with the Future Ready Iowa initiative. It’s an honor to share our strategy in hopes it can help the nation replicate our state’s success,” says Reynolds. “I’m looking forward to representing Iowans on this important board, collaborating with top leaders and bringing back other best practices to help build our talent pipeline.” Ross and Trump will serve as co-chairs for the board, which includes government officials, educational leaders and business executives.
