St. Anthony Regional Hospital is continuing the effort to relocate some of its non-patient-facing offices to the former American Home Shield (AHS) building in Carroll. In January, Frontdoor Inc., American Home Shield’s parent company, donated the nearly 44,000 sq. ft. facility, assessed at $4.1 million, to the hospital. St. Anthony President and CEO Allen Anderson says they sought input from staff and the public on what they should do with their new building, eventually deciding to relocate some of the hospital’s many offices.

Anderson says there is undoubtedly a demand for additional outpatient or specialty services. There was discussion of using the former AHS building for that purpose, but Anderson says they wanted to keep patient-facing services on campus as much as possible.

The Home Health and Hospice team was the first to make the move, as they spend a significant amount of time on the road visiting patients. Anderson says a half-dozen offices will be operating out of the new space by the end of next month.

Anderson adds many of these offices are located on the hospital’s lower levels. Once they’ve relocated, that will open up opportunities for future services and more parking in the facility parking garage.
