Iowa’s Healthiest State Initiative is now accepting nominations for workplaces, schools, communities and individuals who have worked to advance and improve the physical, social and emotional health of Iowans. There are six categories for the awards that will be announced at their annual event on Thursday, Feb. 15 at Hy-Vee’s Ron Pearson Event Center in Des Moines. Three finalists will be announced in early 2018 from the categories that include those from a small workplace of less than 49 employees and a large workplace with more than 50 employees. They will accept nominations from small kindergarten through 12th grade schools with less than 999 students as well as larger schools with more than 1,000 students, along with the broader categories of community and individual. Nominations are due no later than 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30. Submissions can be done by following the link included below.
