Jefferson Musician Chad Elliott Inducted Into Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall Of Fame

Jefferson musician Chad Elliott was inducted into the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame over the Labor Day weekend during a ceremony at the Sami Center in Okoboji. Elliott, who has played for over 25 years, says, “It seems crazy that so many years and miles have passed since I began. I have always pushed myself to become a better writer and performer. I love what I do. I think that is why it feels like it was just yesterday that I was putting a pen to the page and plucking out my first song.” Elliott blends folk styles with blues and rock to create his unique brand of music. During his career, he has played alongside many well-known acts in the industry, such as Counting Crows, Eric Church, Lonestar, and Survivor. Elliott has written more than 2,000 songs and released 26 albums. His 2018 album “Rest Heavy: The Sun Studio Sessions” was recorded at the legendary Memphis studio and later featured on PBS. Following his induction into the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2025, Elliot performed live at the Roof Garden in Arnolds Park. Elliot says, “I am very honored and proud to be an Iowa musician. To have that recognized by the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame is very humbling. Some days I feel like I’m still just getting started on this path. This induction has caused me to stop and reflect on what an amazing ride my musical path has been.” He continues to tour nationwide and also operates Elliott Art Studio in Jefferson.
