The Churdan Public Library is searching for local residents who may be interested in serving on their board of trustees. The five-member board meets at 9 a.m. on the second Monday of each month to develop programming, review finances and craft library policy. They also play a critical role in supporting operations through fundraising. The board consists of three Churdan residents and two members from the surrounding rural area. Those interested in volunteering are asked to contact Library Director, Shari Minnehan, at 515-389-3423 by Wednesday, May 5 for more information about the position. The selected individual will be replacing Joan Nugent, who originally joined the board in 2019.
