The East Sac Raiders got a good road win against a tough Carroll Tigers team Thursday.
While goals were hard to come by in this game, both teams played in each other’s faces and didn’t slow down. East Sac controlled the ball for most of the contest, playing a majority of the first half on Carroll’s side of the field. The lone goal made by East Sac was made by Kayla Meyer via a penalty kick. East Sac ended the day with eight shots on goal.

In the second half, Carroll was able to bring the ball down to East Sac’s side of the field more often, and had some chances to score. Despite their efforts, Carroll struggled to pass the ball up field to score in the second half. Jayden Kirsch for the Tigers made some athletic plays at the goalie position and ended her day with 14 saves. The Tigers took 13 shots on goal with Emersyn Walsh having 10 of them and Sophia Polking, Chloe Ludwig and Trista Reis each with one. East Sac played out the rest of the second half conservatively and won 1-0.
East Sac improves to 6-3 on the season as Carroll falls to 2-7. Both teams will be in action on Saturday, May 1st at the Denison Schleswig Tournament, set to start at 9:00 am.
