Glidden-Ralston and Coon Rapids-Bayard Boys Track Teams Perform Well at Tough Meets Tuesday

Coon Rapids Bayard at Earlham

 

Coon Rapids Bayard competed in a tough meet Tuesday and tied with West Central Valley for seventh place with 40 team points. ACGC won the meet with a team score of 133. The Crusaders ended the day with four individual and two relay top five finishes. 

 

Gabe Obert did well in the individual events, being one of three high jumpers to tie for first place with a jump of 6-00.00 and finishing in second place in the long jump with a jump of 19-03.50. Teammate Easton Hays took home first place in the long jump with a jump of 19-09.00 and fifth place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.86. Hays, along with Lance Clayburg, Tanner Oswald, and Omarion Floyd, finished in fifth place in the 4X100 relay with a time of 47.89 and 4X200 relay with a time of 1:42.63.

Glidden-Ralston at Tri Center

 

Glidden-Ralston finished in sixth place with 58 team points at the Tri-Center Boys Invitational track meet on Tuesday. Glidden-Ralston was not far off from placing third at this tough track meet, as Westwood finished in third place in the standings with 65 points, only seven points ahead of them. Riverside ultimately won this meet with 118 team points. The Wildcats had some great individual and group performances worth noting. 

 

Brigham Daniel finished the day with three individual first place finishes. Daniel won the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.46, the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.01, and the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.55. He was also part of the 4X100 relay team, along with Carter Scott, Karter Kennebeck, and Tyler Brant, that finished in third with a time of 47.98.  Scott also grabbed a top two individual finish of his own finishing in second place in the long jump with a final jump of 18-11.50.
