A Coon Rapids man suffered suspected minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident on Saturday. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the incident on 280th Street north of Coon Rapids at approximately 2:19 a.m. Twenty-three-year-old Roman E. Corado Mauricio was eastbound on 280th when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer. He lost control of the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro he was driving and entered the north ditch. Corado Mauricio was transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services for treatment of his injuries. There was an estimated $8,000 in damage to the Camaro.
