Luckily, there were no injuries reported in a car/semi-tractor trailer accident Thursday morning in Carroll. The Carroll Police Department responded to 10th and Main streets at approximately 7:15 a.m. Thirty-one-year-old Meredith Dryden of Carroll was southbound on Main in a 2012 Chevrolet Impala. Fifty-six-year-old Sherman Smith of Altoona was westbound on 10th in a 2018 Freightliner. Smith pulled away from the stop sign and struck the passenger side of the Dryden car, causing functional damage to both. Smith was cited for failure to yield to a vehicle on the right.
