St. John’s Catholic Church Wishes To Remind Everyone Of 150th Celebration This Upcoming Weekend

The St. John’s Catholic Church in Arcadia is celebrating a significant milestone, 150 years in the community, and inviting all out this weekend for a packed-full scheduled event. St. John’s has activities planned to suit all ages for a fun community gathering. Amber Hoffman, a chairman of the organizing committee, says the weekend gets underway tomorrow (Friday) with a reunion to bring everyone back.

Saturday has activities from 8 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. with something for everyone.

Saturday night will wrap up with a live and silent auction and a street dance featuring Wild Ambition from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Hoffman says they are grateful for all of the wonderful auction items available to bid on, donated from local businesses and individuals.

The weekend will wrap up on Sunday with mass at noon at St. John’s, with a Staley’s Chicken dinner following the service at the Church Hall. The cash raffle drawing will be the grand finale of the event; raffle tickets can be purchased by calling the church at 712-689-2595 or messaging the St. John’s Catholic Church 150th Celebration Facebook page. Hoffman says this milestone would not be possible without the support from parishioners and hopes all come out to celebrate.
