Carroll County ISU Extension and Outreach is sponsoring a Babysitting Basics Course for youth in Carroll County to be trained to provide basic childcare services. The class is on June 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Carroll County Extension building, and registration is limited to the first 20 participants. Throughout the course, those participating will develop skills to provide age-appropriate care and to think through and resolve situations by engaging in discussions involving safety, first aid, CPR, child development, nutrition, and entertaining children. The $40 per participant offset direct expenses and supports the 4-H Youth Development program for Carroll County ISU Extension and Outreach. This program is available for Carroll County youth who have completed 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grades. Registration must be completed online; a link is included below.
