A Bondurant attorney and Boone County magistrate, Ashley Sparks, has been selected to fill a judicial vacancy in Judicial Election District 2B. Gov. Kim Reynolds appointed Sparks, who is the owner of Sparks Law, PLLC in West Des Moines, to fill the opening created by the retirement of Judge James Ellefson. Sparks holds an undergraduate degree from Western Illinois University, a master’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa, and a law degree from the Drake University Law School. Judicial Election District 2B encompasses 13 counties, including Calhoun, Carroll, Greene, and Sac Counties.
