Staff from U.S. Senator Joni Ernst’s office will be available to constituents starting next week. These scheduled times allow constituents to speak directly with Ernst’s representatives about problems or concerns regarding Social Security, veterans’ benefits, immigration issues, and other federal programs. The first office hours for the area are scheduled for Wednesday, May 18 in Jefferson at the Greene County Courthouse from noon to 1 p.m. Staff will be in Audubon County on Tuesday, May 24 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Audubon Public Library. Calhoun County’s hours are also slated for May 24 at the Pomeroy Community Building from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Ernst’s representatives will be available in Guthrie County on May 24 as well from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Guthrie County Courthouse. Staff will be on hand on Wednesday, May 25 in Carroll County at the Carroll Chamber of Commerce Office from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Crawford County’s office hours are the same day at Schleswig City Hall from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Ernst says, “Since I was elected in November 2014, my highest priority has been ensuring that my staff and I are available to help constituents with any federal assistance they may need. When issues arise, we are here to help. That’s why throughout May we are bringing our office and staff to you. Representatives from my team will be in every county in Iowa to ensure that each constituent who wishes to see us in person can do so conveniently.
