Grand Junction Woman Arrested After Vehicle She Left On Tracks Is Hit By Train

A Grand Junction woman has been charged after abandoning a vehicle on the railroad tracks, that was later hit by a train. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident at approximately 10:28 p.m. Thursday, which revealed that 62-year-old Shari Allen got her vehicle stuck on the tracks at 16th Street in Grand Junction. But instead of removing it, she left it there and went home. After it was struck by a train, Allen was located at her residence and taken into custody. She has been charged with driving while revoked and first-offense trespassing.
