The driver of 2017 Nissan Rogue was lucky to have escaped injury in an accident with a tractor and sprayer Thursday morning south of Jefferson. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Jefferson Fire Department responded to the scene on Iowa Highway 4 at 330th Street at approximately 8:14 a.m. The initial investigation revealed that 29-year-old Anthony Hohne of Bagley was driving south on 4 in the Rogue. Sixty-eight-year-old Dennis Pittman of Jamaica was eastbound on 330th Street in a Case sprayer. Pittman told authorities he did not see the Hohne vehicle and struck the passenger side, totaling it. There was minimal damage to the tractor/sprayer. Pittman was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
