Although the Carroll City Council will continue to host their regular meetings in digital formats, they are able to now bring back live cable access. Following repairs for equipment issues, residents can watch beginning with the next meeting on Monday, June 22, on Mediacom cable channel 6 or on 97-2 on digital-ready televisions in Carroll and Glidden and on Western Iowa Networks cable channel 46 in Carroll, Westside, Breda and Lidderdale. A schedule for when these will be rebroadcast is available below. City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver, says Monday’s agenda is a light one, but is starting with some very good news about more improvements at Northeast Park and the Miracle Field project near Kellan’s Kingdom all-inclusive playground.
The council will review a final plat for a 12-unit condominium project in Rolling Hills and a 28E agreement with the Carroll Community School District. Pogge-Weaver says they have had a long-term agreement for use of the soccer fields.
Partly due to the upgrades to the Carroll Public Library in the Farner Government Building and the new City Hall, the council will review changes and increases in the renewal of their property and liability policy. They will also receive a notice of substantial completion on the Carroll Trails Phase II project that expanded the trails north past the Municipal Golf Course and the High School. Pogge-Weaver says the council will also be tasked with taking the next step in moving ahead for the proposed Rec Center referendum votes on Sept. 8 for the use of general obligation (GO) bonds and Local Option Sales Tax (L.O.S.T.) bonds.

Carroll City Council meetings are broadcast live on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. They will be rebroadcast on the Mediacom and Western Iowa Networks channels every Friday at 1 p.m. and on non-meeting Mondays at 5:15 p.m.
