The City of Glidden continues to address heating and cooling issues in the community’s library by approving a proposal for increased insulation. Last week, the city council selected Meredith Spray Foam Systems of Albia to complete the $11,100 project. Two new HVAC units were added earlier this year, and city officials indicated the implementation of additional insulation in the building’s ceiling is an easy step to keep the library’s interior temperatures more consistent. Work is expected to be completed sometime later this summer. Patrons should expect the library to remain open while the project is completed.
