The Jefferson Police Department is requesting a warrant for a Paton man who is alleged to have taken a vehicle without the owner’s consent. On Friday, Jan. 19, the department received a report from Leisha Jabbaar that 21-year-old Zachary Allen Waters had taken the car without permission and then told her he had dropped it off in Jefferson. The officer located it parked in the 200 block of South Walnut Street and advised the owner of its location. Waters will be charged with operation without owner’s consent, an aggravated misdemeanor.
