The Carroll County Supervisors received five bids for a one-year lease on the county-owned farmland that surrounds Mallard View residential facility on Mahogany Ave. north of Carroll. Chair, Neil Bock, explained what the bidders would be renting for the next calendar year.
The winning bid, was for $36,600.01, which is nearly $328 per acre, and just over $373 per tillable acre, made by Chad Kanne of Carroll. Bock read through all five of the bids presented before the board made a motion.
The board accepted the bid contingent upon the official signing of the one-year lease agreement.
