City officials in Wall Lake are just beginning to explore the possibilities of what it would take to expand offered city recycling services. City Clerk Chris Rodman says currently only one recycling trailer is in use and if they were to add a second trailer it could save the city some money and time.
Rodman says with a second trailer in service crews may not need to pick up recycling every Wednesday as they do now, rather they could possibly haul recycling twice a month or maybe even just once a month. If the city were to elect to get a second recycling trailer it would be located near the city shop, but prior to any firm decisions members of the city council will need to further explore the costs of attaining a second trailer and also if it is really needed as the current one may possibly serve the intended purpose.
