February might seem like a long ways off, but now is the perfect time to get a team together and get registered for the 2016 Hoop It Up basketball competition sponsored by the Carroll Chamber of Commerce. Next year’s event marks the 10th Annual Hoop It Up Tournament which takes place on February 27 and 28 of 2016. Each year approximately 50 teams participate and in past years a over 2,500 players, coaches, and fans were welcomed at a single tournament.
For the upcoming tournament this year’s committee is excited to announce that they will once again be using a program called Tourney Machine to make the event even more fan-friendly offering online registration, schedules, scores, and even brackets. Registered teams are guaranteed to play a minimum of three games which will be officiated by certified officials. Players will also receive a t-shirt and awards will be presented to 1st and 2nd place finishers in all divisions.
