The City of Carroll announced today (Wednesday) the Union Pacific Railroad crossing on Main Street will likely remain closed through the end of the work week. The crossing initially closed Tuesday morning for crews to check track integrity and refinish some aspects of the crossing. Work was expected to be finished sometime today (Wednesday); however, the Carroll Public Works Department reports Union Pacific has requested an extended closure through at least Thursday. City officials anticipate construction will finish sometime Friday. Carroll Broadcasting will update you when this segment of Main Street is open again.
