Plan For Your Family Farm’s Future With Educational Seminar From Calhoun County ISU Extension And Outreach

Calhoun County Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach is inviting area farmers to register for an upcoming program that will guide them through the process of farm succession planning. The two-part workshop will be hosted at their office in Rockwell City from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m on Tuesday, March 17 with a follow-up session on Tuesday, March 24. The program provides participants with insight into how to prepare for the future of their family farm. ISU Farm Management Specialist, Tim Christensen and Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation Attorney, Kitt Tovar, will cover a broad range of topics, including estate planning, goal setting, estate taxes and more. Registration is $50 per person or $150 for a family of four and includes a light meal at 5:30 p.m. prior to each session. The deadline to register is Friday, March 13, and interested individuals are encouraged to do so soon, as space is limited.
