Local and state authorities responded to a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 71, about four miles south of Carroll, at approximately 6:30 a.m. this (Thursday) morning. Conditions were extremely foggy at that time. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reports that a pickup truck was driving south on 71 when a northbound car crossed the center line, hitting the truck. The driver of the car was transported for treatment of suspected minor injuries. None of the occupants of the truck were transported for treatment. Both vehicles were totaled.
