Carroll County Supervisors Meeting Will Be Tuesday Due To Presidents’ Day

Due to the courthouse being closed on Monday for Presidents’ Day, the Carroll County Board of Supervisors will instead convene at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18 in the first-floor meeting room. They will begin with a brief discussion regarding an employee retirement from Carroll County Conservation. The board will then consider accepting an agreement reached through negotiations with the Carroll County Paramedics Union. After approving plats, the supervisors will open a discussion on farm taxes for properties within the county. Four manure management annual updates are on the agenda for approval followed by a report from the Secondary Roads Department concerning their Fiscal Year 2020 budget for equipment, drain and farm management, a proposed real estate contract and more. The supervisors will finish their meeting with reports from committees and a closed session to “discuss the purchase or sale of real estate only where premature disclosure could be reasonably expected to increase the price the governmental body would have to pay for that property or reduce the price the governmental body would receive for that property.” Again, the meeting begins at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18 in the meeting room at the Carroll County Courthouse. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. A copy of the agenda can be found included with this story on our website.
