There Is Still Time To Make A Nomination For ISA Annual Leadership Awards

There are still a few days left to make a nomination for the Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) leadership awards. The nomination period will close at the end of the day on Sunday, Nov. 17 and winners will be recognized at the ISA annual conference in January. “The annual awards ceremony is a valuable way to thank those who work tirelessly for our industry,” says ISA President, Tim Bardole. “I know it’s a busy time of year, but I encourage farmers to think about who would be deserving of some recognition.” The Rising Star award is presented to a high school senior or college student who is taking an active role in promoting Iowa agriculture and plans to remain in the field on a personal or professional level. The award includes a $1,000 education stipend. The Legacy of Leadership nominees must be an ISA member who advances the goals of the association and demonstrates a passion and commitment for growing the soybean industry. There will be a New Leader award for ISA members; the Environmental Leader who is a member improving on-farm environmental performance through precision ag tools and technology; the Innovator in Production Research, an individual, organization or company showing leadership in precision ag; the Friend of the Iowa Soybean Farmer, an elected ISA leader or partner who has supported the organization’s efforts; and the Advocate for Iowa Agriculture, which is an ISA member, organization or company who tells the story of modern ag and builds bridges between farmers and consumers. Nominations should be 150 words or less and include the nominees name, hometown, phone number and email. Details on how to submit the nominations, links to more information and listings of past award recipients can be found below.
