Carroll County first responders were called to two separate incidents within an hour of each other Wednesday afternoon. At approximately 3:37 p.m., the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Carroll County Emergency Medical Services and Glidden Fire Department were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident on Highway 30 near the Merle Hay Cemetery. Then at approximately 4:07 p.m., the Carroll Police Department and Carroll Fire Department responded to the 800 block of West 5th Street on a report of skid loader engulfed in flames.
