Another Motorcyclist Refuses To Yield To Authorities. Bike Was Found, Driver Was Not

The Jefferson Police Department and Greene County Sheriff’s Office joined forces to search for a motorcyclist who fled from a police officer Monday night. The motorcycle was clocked at a speed above the posted limit at approximately 9:52 p.m. in the 900 block of North Cedar Street. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the driver of the bike did not yield. The officer temporarily lost sight, but the motorcycle was later found parked in a vacant lot in the 700 block of North Chestnut Street. The bike was towed to the impound lot but the driver has not yet been identified.
