The Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a car/deer accident Saturday east of Jefferson. At approximately 9:38 p.m., a 2010 Toyota Prius, driven by 70-year-old Josefina Daugdaug Stevens of Jefferson, was eastbound on 235th Street and approaching the S curves when a deer ran out of the west ditch and onto the roadway. Stevens struck the deer with the front left side of the car, resulting in approximately $2,500 in damages. No injuries were reported.
