Several people were injured following a two-vehicle accident in Guthrie County Sunday afternoon. The Iowa State Patrol reports a collision occurred at approximately 4:28 p.m. on 310th Street, about one mile northwest of Diamondhead Lake. According to an initial investigation, a vehicle crested a hill while traveling on the gravel road and struck a second vehicle from behind. Multiple nonlife-threatening injuries were reported, and several of the occupants were transported to Methodist West and Mercy Hospitals in Des Moines. The names of the individuals involved have not yet been released. An investigation by the Iowa State Patrol into the incident is ongoing.
