Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach of Carroll County is hosting a seminar tonight (Thursday) in Manning that will review the impact of recent changes to federal tax laws. County Manager, Julee Grell, says they have invited Kristine Tidgren, the Director of the Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation at ISU, to lead the session. Grell says the event will include nearly all aspects of the new tax code.
The Tax Cuts & Jobs Act went into effect on January 1 and is considered the most significant change to tax laws since 1986. Grell says there will be a lot information for attendees, and all of it will be valuable.
The seminar begins at 5 p.m. at the Hausbarn Konferenz Centre in Manning. RSVPs are requested and can be completed by contacting the Carroll County Extension Office at 792-2364 or by email at the address included below.
