A Boone County man was booked into the Greene County Law Enforcement Center on Wednesday morning after local authorities responded to the report of a burglary in progress. At approximately 10:54 a.m., the Greene County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Blacks Pit on 220th Street. There, they found 38-year-old Jerry Kennedy, who was taken into custody and charged with fifth-degree theft, a serious misdemeanor. Authorities also located a substance believed to be marijuana and Kennedy was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor, and first-offense possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, a serious misdemeanor.
