Arrest Warrant Requested For Carroll Woman Accused Of Leaving Three Minor Children Unattended

An arrest warrant has been requested by the Carroll Police Department for a Carroll woman accused of leaving her children unattended. According to a criminal complaint filed in District Court for Carroll County on Aug. 10, 23-year-old Emily Sue Gosnell allegedly left her children, ages six, two and one, home alone and unsupervised while she went to Lake View to complete a work shift scheduled from 7 p.m. on June 26 to 6 a.m. the following morning. Police responded to the residence in the 1100 block of Woodland Drive at approximately 11 p.m. after neighbors reported the eldest child had knocked on the door and requested help feeding her siblings and cleaning an infant covered in fecal matter. Officers contacted Gosnell’s employer to confirm she was there and had her return home.
