Who is Jayden K. Smith, and why should you care? If you have a Facebook account, you have no doubt received a message cautioning you to avoid accepting a friendship request from Jayden K. Smith. The message will urge you tell all of your messenger contacts he is a hacker and has a system he can use to hack your Facebook account. Not only can Jayden hack your personal account, he will then be able to hack the accounts of friends. Jayden, and a slew of other names, have been used in these warnings, and Snopes has verified that this is a hoax. They say different versions of it have actually existed for years, using different names like Anwar Jitou, Bobby Roberts, Christopher Butterfield and Simon Ashton. Moreover, Snopes says, it is not possible for an account to be hacked simply by adding a friend, and that in order to take over an account, a password would be needed or the hacker would need to send an infected file that would only work if opened.
