Traffic on the south side of Carroll will be a bit slower in the coming days as several major thoroughfares will be closed. South Grant Road will be closed beginning Wednesday morning for asphalt resurfacing. Work there is expected to take two days and access to McFarland Clinic will be reduced as a result. Patients can still reach the facility by using Pleasant Ridge Road to bypass the road work. Two railroad crossings, one at Olympic Ave. and another at Burgess Ave., were scheduled to finish Tuesday evening, but will be extended several days. The work on the Olympic crossing should finish up Wednesday evening. Burgess Ave. will remain closed until Thursday night. Alternate routes should be considered to avoid delays while traveling in those areas.
